Hearing Nathan's voice makes her excited at first, and then she realizes something. He's been elected to Senate. That means he's been here a while. He has to have been. She doesn't hear another word he says, she just targets in on the reality of this situation and tunnel visions in on her plentiful emotions.
So her face goes to one of shock.
It stays like this for a few seconds before melting into one of anger. HOW DOES SHE MANAGE TO GET STUCK WITH THE WORST FATHER IN THE WORLD??
But as quickly as the anger comes, it fades away to extreme butthurt. Not just normal Claire butthurt, but the kind that causes rivers to flow from her eyes.
