Aw, it looks like I'm one of the only people that goes by vocal. ):

All the song's lyrics have to fit with the character, and I find that when the lyrics fit, the accompanying music behind the vocals usually fits as well. It may also help that... I have hardly any instrumental music fjaskdlfaj. ;;

I associate music with everything. So pretty much you can pick any song out of my playlist and it's about... something, USUALLY FANDOM-Y ffff also they are mostly vocal, instrumental songs I use for ambience or emotion or themes, not a specific character. Although sometimes the vocals don't actually... fit the character at all but just sound cool. IDK, MAN.
