Oh no, this made me feel feelings. A lot and a lot of GALEEEEE D:D:D: feelings. Especially the section about how he doesn't like the food in district two and the ending, oh gosh the ending is too perfect but it breaks my heart anyway D:

This is beautiful and heartbreaking, in the best possible way. I've always felt like both Gale and Katniss are pragmatists at heart, and it's absolutely one of their undoings. Gale's not-quite-pining but still hopeful regard for her seems so real. You've captured that perfectly, simply, with wonderful details.
Handsome is one of those things that’s only useful to people without more important things to worry about, and Gale resents it a bit.
This is really telling. I love this.
