So, a little over 3 months ago (has it really been 3 months? wow.), I wouldn't have imagined myself scanlating anything, but here I am now with almost a hundred FMA doujinshi releases and um, I seem to have picked up DGM on the way.
I swear I was going to stop after the very first GYK release, but things seem to have... snowballed from there.

A new comm seems like the most obvious way to go about things - but if running two comms is going to be too much of a time commitment, maybe you could poll DK members? There's probably a fair amount of overlap between Roy/Ed and Kanda/Allen fandom for obvious reasons, which might help.

I'm leaning towards a new comm too, it seems like the least complicated solution (besides having to come up with a shiny new comm name XD).
Posting to DK. would be easiest for me, but there are too many things to take into account, and it'll be hard to conduct fair activity checks (´д｀；)

I enjoy them in your LJ for the ease of following, but I totally understand wanting to lock them down a bit (members only with clear rules and tags, etc.). PLease note I will still want to be your buddy whether you move them to a comm or not (and will have to join said comm if you do open it).

But yes, strangers adding me is one of the problems with posting to my journal (><)
I'm leaning towards making a new comm at the moment... If I do, I hope it won't make it too much of a hassle to track releases ;A;

If you make a new comm, I'll join. :D I'll just have to remember to check it as I don't follow many comms on my flist (OCD tl;dr explanation about why most aren't watched on my flist).

I think it might be easier on you to add them to your existing comm? I mean, existing members who aren't already fans do have the ability to scroll past, or use tags to browse.

I mean, for instance I'm a casual DGM fan and I'll look at some releases but if they go to a separate DGM comm I probably wouldn't bother, but that's me. >_>;

That's what I was leaning towards at first, but then I thought of some complications, e.g. it would be hard to be fair during activity checks since I can't really blame a DGM fan for not commenting on an FMA release and vice versa (><)
On the other hand, several DK. members seem to be in both fandoms (all 4 of you who commented on this post, in fact XD), so it may work out after all!

Urk, what to doooooo. Maybe I'll go ahead and poll the comm before deciding XD;

I think people joined to DK for FMA only. You should see what it's best for you: open a new comm (to let the fandom get in and rules) or making locked entries on your journal.

I'm in both fandoms but yeah, it would feel weird to take the "FMA only" label off the comm.

Yeah, it does feel strange to include DGM now, after months of advertising it very specifically as a FMA RoyxEdxRoy comm (￣∀￣；)
Besides, I did start the comm for FMA fans after Brotherhood ended.

On the other hand, some DK. members don't seem to mind - right now it's 3 for new comm, 2 for posting in DK. (゜▽゜；)
I'll probably ask DK. members before making a decision~
