This is a fanmade doujinshi I did after I read the wonderful Love letter books series. Tkarolick and I did an rp based on this doujshin and turned out so nicely that I decided to turn it into doujin. Though it is short, it involves alot of hardwork ;)

wow. You weren't kidding when you said it was short! :)

You know, sad as it is, at least in your version, Ed isn't left eterally separated from his Roy and having to find a way to make do. I've always hated CoS for doing that to my OTP. The last line is kinda throwing me a bit tho - "a goodbye". Not just goodbye but a goodbye. What exactly does that mean?

Yes I know,but I'm currently doing a longer Royed doujinshi.

I Didn't understand quite what you mean, in my version Roy kills Ed in contrary to what happened in the original Loveletter, but non the less he will be able to return back into his world.

As for 'A goodbye' was more in terms of grammer, didn't imply anything by it. That goodbye refers to the fact that Ed is dead and he will never see Alter!Roy again (although we know that in reality he is returning back to Amestris)

You might think that I made it ambigous but to tell you the truth I kind of did in purpose so that I won't spoon feed the reader and let him/her figure out the rest.

But yea I agree I could have ended it better, but I was kinda stuck there -_-

Yeah, I kinda got off track in my original comment. I got so busy ranting at CoS canon for forever separating Roy and Ed that I didn't properly phrase my question about the part I wasn't getting. Sorry 'bout that. :) I got that alter!Roy shot Ed but I wasn't sure if Ed had just died and was going to his heavenly reward or if he was able to cross back to Amestris. The way Ed was standing there so calmly before the Gate with that sorta accepting look in his eyes was very reminiscent of 1st anime Ed after Envy ran him thru. First anime Ed had just stood there accepting his death waiting for the Gate to take him and I was thinking that that was what happened here, that Ed was headed off to his hereafter. Glad to see I was wrong and Ed and Roy were reunited! :)

Don't worry about me not understanding what you were saying here. I often don't get the way some doujins end. That pesky little language translation/cultural barrier gets in the way and I get confused. :) Sometimes being spoonfed isn't necessarily a bad thing. ;)
