He had taken the record to the movie theatre and took a small projection reel and set up to watch it.
There were a few times he had to stop. Once, he made a bee-line for a trash can. It had taken him several minutes of weeping before being able to finish. He'd asked Grell how long it normally took to view one of these - it took him nearly twice as long. When he was done, he packed it carefully and replaced everything, then fixed himself a stiff drink before going to search for Grell.
Grell was singing in the hallway outside of his room, his voice mellow and pleasant. He'd found some jacks, and he was sitting cross-legged on the floor, bouncing the ball an snatching at them.
He didn't seem to notice Eric when he arrived in the hall.
Oh damn, Grell was making this hard. Quietly, he approached, very uncomfortable with the situation, looking both grey and ill but furious. It was his eyes, he knew, that would give him away. A raging blue storm in his eyes. So he avoided making eye contact as he approached.

"Oh Eric you're..." He seemed to read his pallor and expression. "Oh..." His face fell a little.
