Those Pesky Leaks

A few people have asked about the fate of the contaminated sports arena that Rodney was trying was trying to build in Tampa. A few other people asked me about the broken wrist incident in Imperfections 7. This is my report about what I've found out about it so far.

Imperfections: John and Rodney IV

Yay! More Imperfections, even if it's the side-verse. I love this version of Rodney and John. You are da bomb

I really love this AU. I like seeing Rodney react of having another guide (temporarily). The bond between him and John is so strong that I really believe Rodney could not cope with another guide now on a permanent basis. I can't wait to see more of this.

This is where he first got interested in water parks. He hasn't quite reached the level of addiction that has him designing them yet. Later.

Right now we are 3 years before the start of Imperfections.

Great bit! I'm looking forward to the Return of John :-)

Question - is there room in this universe for sentinels who don't want to make their livings using their senses? For those who want to go into the family hardware business, or teach social studies, or write software? It just occurred to me that the added cost of having to have a guide would price them out of a number of jobs.

Are sentinels even *allowed* to be lawyers?

Well, at least one of them works as a prof at Rainer, so I'm guessing yes.

You mean Rodney? But he (or his employers?) are able to afford John in part because his senses make him much more effective than your ordinary PhD engineer. I don't remember whether there's a sentinel on faculty in anthropology, but if there is, then she (I think she's a she?) is worth the cost of her guide because she helps Rainier sell itself as a leading school for guide training (I'm guessing). Would Rainier pay for a guide for a sentinel in the English department?

In the main stories, Blair mentions a prof. in the anthro dept. who is a sentinel.
