Once again, I love everything you've done here. The first fic is really so sad, but it's nice to see Daryl opening up about his family and trying to help Andrea.

The second one -- oh man, if that had only been the way the season had ended. Poor Daryl. (Oh, and it was hot, too.) :-)

WOW, what awesome writing! :) Love your depiction of virgin!Daryl in story 2. I've tried to write on that idea as well. Story 2 is sad, too, IMO b/c Daryl and Andrea never make it to third base :p at least until Michonne brings her back to him. Whoooo knows? ;)

I love Daryl opening up to Andrea; he did it so easily in "Save the Last One" that I could definitely see him doing it prior to that like you wrote it. And the bond over losing their respective siblings is something the writers never should have ignored (and hopefully won't if Merle eventually bites the dust S3!).

And geeze, way to be a cockblock, Rick! Such lovely intimate descriptions of Daryl's thoughts on Andrea, and your virgin!Daryl is always so painfully adorable in his insecurities.

Yes I felt like when we saw their conversation in Save The Last One, it felt too comfortable and friendly for it to have been their first. I'm not saying they were boning each other's brains out prior to that episode but there was an air of familiarity to it. I really would love to have seen what led to that conversation :)

Re: that familiarity, I was thinking that their comfort and friendliness around each other owes a great deal to the intrinsic bond that cemeterydreamer speaks of: "the bond over losing their respective siblings" that is never stated overtly in the series, but *felt* in a subtle way WRT the way they interact with each other. I hope the writers and actors alike can draw upon that bond more in S3 and thereafter.

Me too! I always felt like they seemed quite relaxed and comfortable around each other; and there has to be some backstory to account for that. He seems so much more comfortable speaking with Andrea than he does with Carol (for example). Although maybe that has to do with the actors' chemistry as well...
