Yesterday I saw a couple friends for the first time since my mom died, and I was telling them some of the things that happened while she was at hospice. It got me thinking that I should probably type some things up while I can still remember them... mostly, anyway; the days were all running together toward the end. So here's more or less what her

The last does sound awful. I'm so very sorry you went through that. It is good that you don't have to untangle your mom's bills for the last couple of years - it sounds like she kept it up except for the last few months. What are they gonna do, give her a bad mark on her credit report?

I haven't posted as often as I should, but you've been on my mind.

Yeah, the finances could be a lot worse. And I was kind of cracking up when the credit card companies started calling, because like you said, there wasn't much they could do to her. So I'm not complaining. The whole experience was rough, but it wasn't all bad.

Thanks. Mostly I'm glad to have it down because I was afraid I'd forget things--a lot of it is already a blur. and I think it's worth remembering--the bad things and the good things.
