I've actually had to turn off the news for most of the season to keep my blood pressure down. Yes, even NPR, though that one's only due to it needing to document the prevailing winds, as it were.

The anti-incumbent attitude has really been pissing me off. "What!? The country isn't 100% better yet? OVER THE COALS."

God yes. Pity that to a significant portion of the segment of the country so hell-bent on fucking over themselves and 99% of the rest of the country as well (I'll give you a hint about which 99%: it isn't the wealthiest 99%), being "smart" is somehow a bad thing.
