got my own dental silliness right now too. short version - i go in for *everything* to be done only to discover that i've got a raging sinus infection and they can't get me numb enough to extract what needs extracting. 4 hours of maxed out Novocain and lovely laughing gas and it took me two days to recover. now i get to go back in 2 weeks for them to finish.
at least this dentist doesn't sing Dreamweaver to me. nor does she try to wake me up when i fall asleep from the gas. :D
My problem yesterday was allergies - I couldn't breath out of my nose very well. I had to keep flagging them every few minutes to pause and let me up because of all the equipment and water in my mouth and the suction just wasn't clearing it all. Unpleasant drowning feeling, and what little air I could push through my nose felt like it was bubbling through water. UGH. v_v
Yay for going back in two weeks, when they get to do my NEXT crown and oh, yeah, drill out yet another cavity. ARGH.
