Not innocent, he was found not guilty. He might have done it, but they were unable to prove it sufficently for a court. You can still believe he did it if you want.

That's what I said. I don't care if he did it or not, just shove him in a room and start having clever men in white coats figure out what the hell is wrong with him and how to fix it.
