Well, I haven't seen Angelic Layer. I haven't seen Saber Mationette or Chobits, either (though I've read the Chobits manga).

One of the things that I remember best about Angelic Layer was how on a regular basis the quote was "Watching files copy: still more interesting than Angelic Layer." It was (for all intents and purposes) a shojo version of DB-Z... with less plot, and more fights....
