I NEED to see it. This movie has Rob Lowe acting like a complete twit and the lobbyist shutting down a schoolgirl whose mother is "not a credible expert" on the dangers of smoking! What's not to like? :D
I was a little nervous going to see this, as I'd heard that his last effort (Solaris?) was horrible, but the Golden Globe/Oscar buzz turned out to be enough reassurance (and glad I am). ^_^

I actually liked that the film didn't have a great deal of triumph and dealt with the characters only enough to humanize them. For one thing, I love understated acting. The type of grandstanding, emotathug, clash-of-good-and-evil heroes that Hollywood likes to indulge in turn me off, both because I find them less admirable and because I find them less realistic

I'm so proud of George Clooney for doing two films this year that he obviously put heart and soul into. (as far as his political and moral beliefs)
