Oh good lord, what will you brilliant Brits think of next? I just had mushrooms on toast for the first time. Um...Yes, please. Give me a bottle of red wine and a batch of those any day of the week. It’s just replaced mac & cheese as my go-to weekday meal. Well let’s not go crazy there.
For the record, I tweaked
this recipe (adding garlic, subtracting chives - because I forgot to buy them at the store this week) and served on Sourdough toasts. And am enjoying a lovely bottle of Chambourcin as well.
Delicious!
(And in my defense for not having this before, I didn’t eat mushrooms until about 6 years ago... But still - how did it take this long to try this?)
