I totally forgot about this yesterday! I was too busy cooking for a gathering at the goat’s place I guess! Lots of appetizers!

Day 6: 30 Day TV Meme.

Day 01 - A show that should have never been canceled: Veronica Mars
Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching: My Boys
Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this tv season): The Good Wife
Day 04 - Your favorite show ever: 90210 (and a whole bunch of other stuff)

Day 05 - A show you hate
I find it really hard to say I hate any TV show. Just like with fanfic, I just stop watching a long time before it would ever get to ‘hate’ stage. So let’s reinterpret the question shall we? What shows does it seem like the entire world watches, that I don’t? LOST, Survivor (any season), 24, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars.

I find it really hard to be passionate about a dislike for anything I haven’t watched, but if you make me pick just one, I guess Survivor. Never have thought it sounded remotely interesting to watch and the outtakes haven’t convinced me otherwise.

Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite tv show
So since I listed 90210 as my favorite tv show EVER, I suppose I should list one from there, right? Well I’m not going to. This one doesn’t have that qualifier ‘EVER’ on it. So let’s go with my favorite episode of one of my favorite tv shows - which change by the season, but were a bit more stable in childhood. Interpreting this to be those episodes that I refer to often, even years after watching them, and stick with me the most, I’m going to say there are three:

THE COSBY SHOW: Season Two, Episode 21, "THEO'S HOLIDAY."
A cocky Theo is sure that in a few years he’ll easily land a job as a fashion model and have a great car, apartment and plenty of spending money. So the Huxtables stage an elaborate scheme to prove to him that living on your own is not what it's cracked up to be. Theo’s lesson in reality starts when the Huxtable home is converted into the Real World Apartments with Cliff as the strictly business landlord, Harley Weewax; Clair as the restaurant owner, Millie Farquar; Denise as the shrewd head of a modeling agency; Vanessa as her gum-cracking receptionist, and Rudy as the hard-nosed bank loan officer, Mrs. Griswald.

SAVED BY THE BELL: Season 2, Episode 9, “JESSIE’S SONG.”
Jessie is under pressure with midterms and her own singing group so she turns to caffeine pills, ignoring Slater's warning that the pills are hazardous to her health. When Zack finds out he cancels her performance and rushes to her side.

MI:5 (SPOOKS): Season 3, Episode 2.
When MI-5 suspects that an unknown terrorist organization is trying to build an atomic bomb in London, Harry Pearce activates a sleeper agent he recruited some 24 years before. The man, Professor Fred Roberts (played by Ian McDiarmid), is a brilliant chemist who has had a successful career and has even won a Nobel prize. He's less than thrilled when Harry approaches him. He's quite set in life and doesn't see himself keeping up his part of the bargain made with Harry all those years ago. MI-5 forces him to take part by putting out the word that he has created the mythical red mercury, used as an atomic detonator. The mission is going as planned but Tom begins to unwind, questioning the morality of what they are doing to Roberts and his family.

I suppose if I was forced to pick just one, it would be “Jessie’s Song” - who could resist that show? It was just so memorable. And it seriously comes up in conversation at least once a quarter, which is really rather impressive given how long ago it was aired!

ETA: DOCTOR WHO: BLINK
