*sigh*

BLEH.
At 7:00 AM I hear the trademark SCREECH BANG HOOOOORNNNN of an accident outside. I figure, ok, I will get the portable phone and find out if anyone needs to call about their car. Little did I know it was ME.

Yep, my car, which was parked innocently across the street, is/was now facing the opposite direction, missing most of its front, and completely utterly totalled. IT WAS PARKED. *sigh*

Apparently the guy (whose behemouth of a pickup truck sporting a lovely extension in the front which was meant to be used as a holder for a plow but was used instead to gouge the life out of my poor car) fell asleep. He also, allegedly (because he was (wisely) too scared or shaken up to come talk with me) has no insurance. Git.

To add insult to injury, my lovely recently-purchased CD of Afterglow by Sarah McLachlan is stuck in the car. They can't get it out, so I get to claim one car and one $15 CD. And I will. It's my current favorite.

The good parts are: 1) my car always parks right next to a light pole, and if it hadn't have been there, we'd all be without electricity, cause the guy must have been going at least 50 mph; 2) it is an 'extra' car, we don't actually NEED it, so no one got screwed out of wheels; 3) it has full coverage, and to be honest, the gas mileage wasn't too hot, so we might buy a newer one with better mileage; 4) the gas tank was empty, hurrah. That's $35 we didn't waste on the car... although we just spent about $400 on it 2 weeks ago for inspection purposes.
