You know something is just absolutely fantastic if, six years after it aired on national television, the finale of a season of a TV show can bring me to tears and be so... I'm literally speechless. I don't think I've ever seen anything that touched me as much as the season finale of The West Wing, Season 2 ( Read more... )

I feel that way every time I go through Sports Night, which was also a Sorkin production. :)

The West Wing was the show my A-level politics teacher told us to watch because it was the only show he knew of that was politically accurate at the time, regarding the US government. He was utterly obsessed with it. I never got round to watching it though; I pretty much just shook it off as another of Mr. Cox's obsessions.

Awe! You know...it's rare that there is a single episode of that show that doesn't, at some point, at least give me goosebumps. Though, most of them usually bring me to tears. I just loved that show. I've recently received the 7th season on DVD, making my collection complete. Hubby and I will sometimes spend entire weekends just drowning in the show.

My favorite part of that episode is the montage that goes along with Brothers in Arms. There is just something so poetic about it.

*squee* for TWW love!!!!

BTW, I'm sitting here staring at the last two chapters of TSIK, and I'm debating if I want to read them...or leave myself a little cushion so that I will avoid hounding you for updates. Hmmmm....

Right now I have disc 1 of season three here, and have so far watched the 9/11 inspired episode and that's it (mr darsy [ok I love calling him that /tangent] has the next 4 days off, so I'm sure we'll be watching more). Gogo netflix! We're going to end up getting them all but money is tight atm.

REAAAAADDDD THEMMMMM Hounding doesn't bother me at all, actually. I should be writing faster anyway (used to post a chapter a day... and NOT because they were pre-written), but I managed to overextend myself a bit IRL lately. Right now I'm torn--I have a few fic requests, a new chapter of TSIK to write, a story I really want to write (but am intimidated by) called Doubt Thou the Stars that I'm pretty sure I'll do a chapter of today, and then there is fic to read as a judge for qtp_awards, reviews to leave for stories by some delightful people on my f-list, and... and... *explodes*

In any case, I MUST write today. I hope. So hounding is good. Yeah, I think that's what I meant. (low bloodsugar = Darsy go eat now. <3)
