Watched the first couple episodes of Veronica Mars last night. I did NOT expect to like it--I have a big problem with feeling uncomfortable/too much hostility in media things (as in, shows or movies with a lot of that, not like, news programs, not that I wasn't the only one that thought that's what I might have meant. AND

I AM WAITING FOR INCEPTION TO COME OUT ON DVD BEFORE WATCHING IT, AND UNTIL THEN, I AM AVOIDING THE FANDOM SO AS NOT TO SPOIL MYSELF (ANY FURTHER)

THERE DOES SEEM LIKE THERE MUST BE A LOT OF GOOD FIC FOR IT FROM ALL THE SQUEE I HAVE SEEN ON MY DWIRCLEFLIST, THO

Thanks for the link to franticsga's post! Large parts of my flist are sadly not yet fully convinced that Inception is worth checking out. Maybe that breakdown will help :D

The first two seasons of Veronica Mars are absolutely amazing.

Skip the third season. (That's not advise I could take myself, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway.)

This, yes. Season 1 of VM was one of the most amazingly plotted, written, and acted single seasons of TV, like, EVER. There are a couple of clunker episodes, but the OMG factor of the season as a whole overrides that.

It's sad when something with such great promise goes downhill so quickly, isn't it? The same thing happened with "Heroes", although that was predictable: When the entire premise of a show amounts to superhero origin stories, where can you go when the origins have been told?
