Well, I think there would be quite a lot more discussion of Melt Physics and frantic discussions on Fluid Dynamics that would get nipped in the bud by Chipped, who would point out that ice cubes generate much more body heat when they're upset, and it would be better to huddle close to conserve the cold.

This shuts Rod up and they huddle close and things look dire until the power comes back on and Rod gets so excited he 'kisses' Chipped exuberantly and unexpectedly right before the curtain goes down on this whacky love story...

LOL

THE FIRST THING THAT OCCURRED TO ME WAS

IF THEY WERE PARTIALLY MELTED AND HUDDLING AND THEN "KISSED" RIGHT ABOUT WHEN THE POWER CAME BACK ON AND IT STARTED GETTING COLD AGAIN

WHAT IF THEY WERE FROZEN TOGETHER AT THE "MOUTH" XD XD

Ahaha I thought of that too! But to be honest, I think it would freak Rod out and that wouldn't be romantic, hahahha.

Outtake!

This is a rather small thing (or maybe not), but I was wondering what would have happened if Hermione had been sorted straight into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin in Then Shall I Know?

Also, on the topic of this story, I just thought I'd say that I really utterly desperately hope that you get your muses back because I love TSIK with all my heart and soul and would really love to see it finished. :)

It's not that small, actually! (And thank you for the compliments! More on that later...) I think for Hermione, if she were to be thrust into Gryffindor right away, her main design would be to avoid the Marauders and Lily at all costs, because she doesn't trust herself not to give stuff away. In a way, being sorted to Slytherin means that instinct is circumvented, almost, because she feels torn away from them by something that was unfair, as opposed to feeling obligated to keep herself away. I think the story would have shifted to a playful combativeness, where she tried to be aloof and Sirius would have none of it. I think it would have been a lot of fun, but in a very real way, would have compromised her characterization, because there wouldn't have been any contrivance to help her forget that she could screw everything up BIG TIME. After all, she's still a teenager, with teenage impulse control (for all that hers is much stronger than the average bear's), and not screwing things up is a big responsibility. By being sorted to ( ... )

That makes sense, and after thinking about it after I commented, I realised that well yes, it actually would have a massive impact. Thanks for your clearing it up more! :)
Well I for one, am all for you JUST WRITING! ;) You say your writing has improved, and since I (and so many others) think that your story so far is amazing, now it shall be even brilliant-er! :p Don't be intimidated, I think we'd all be far more excited to just see some more of your work! :D
