Big branch indeed! Also, your house looks so sunny :) I'm always so curious to see where people live. There should be a kind of "LJ cribs" meme where you get to see inside people's houses. With tagging, too. Although, I'm sure a lot of people are worried about privacy.

Hehe, I'm glad it looks like that--our porch and roof are about the only places that get sun at all. In fact, the person(s) who designed the house knew this would happen, and all our windows are wide but not very tall, since it'd just be a waste anyway--no light. It is a sweet house, though, and I LOVE our porch, because people can't see onto it from the street unless we sit over the garage, and there's nothing but woods across from us. Nice feeling of solitude in the midst of a big city.

Good point about privacy, though after I took the picture I realized that the image is almost identical to the Google Maps street view of our house, so I don't have to worry that I'm providing more information than is already out there somewhere. Except for how right now, my door is open. Yeah, have fun with the screen door lock, would-be robbers! *grins*

It really is! My reaction when hubby told me this morning:

Him: what you think is a tree in the back yard is not a tree
Him:go outside, down the driveway, and look up over the house
Me: that sentence makes no sense
Me: oh
Me: okay
Me: WAIT
Me: IS IT A BRANCH
Me: o.O
Me: brb.
(I walk down, gape, take pictures, walk back up)
Me: HOLY HELL.
Him:yeah.

I think the tree still looks ok, obviously if you want to be sure you should talk to professional types, but it's still got branches and leaves. those rocks are heavy leave them where they are we can always go get those crappy aluminum foil pans grocery stores sell.

Yeah, luckily while it might have been the biggest branch, it's not the only one. I was teasing that all the rocks were held down by the branch--we have a scattering of thinner, more easily portable ones over the sparse grass in the rest of the back yard. Though, they're possibly still heavy...

Might want to check at a dollar store, a lot of times they have cheap aluminum containers for one-shot use at parties that might be a good fit for the Plan.
