I think I've heard the occasional song on XMU. I vaguely remember them being good, but not enough to get my attention. I'll keep my ears open.

I have heard of them, and thought I remembered that they'd recently been featured on one of the music blogs I read: Entry 1, Entry 2. (I don't actually read Spanish fluently, and rely on cognates from French and online translation tools to get by.) I didn't download these because they're still in print AFAIK, but from what I have heard of them, they're pretty cool.

Me, I just found the band with the coolest name EVAR: Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams. The fact that they're good musicians just makes it perfect.

These guys have won multiple "best live act" awards in the UK and Europe, since around 2001 (the album 'Origin of Symmetry' is their most proggy) - they really fill an underserved niche of the market. Look up their performances from Glastonbury in 2004, YouTube has copies (particularly 'hysteria' and 'new born'). That's generally known as their coming-of-age gig.
