Well, girls, I've just been to see Jimmy, to finalise all the details for the ramble! First off, Irene and Belinda, you two are to run down to Cook first thing after breakfast, to collect the baskets. The kitchen staff have certainly come good for us - there's a crate of ginger beer split up between us all

Gwen, you mutt, it wasn't me that decided this! It was Miss Grayling and your father, and if you've any complaints, don't bother wasting my time with them.

I don't know what you're worrying about, anyway! This walk will be jolly good for all of us!

Right you are, Saint Darrell! :) Sounds you've gone to a lot of trouble to make sure we have a cracking time - and I can't wait to get a proper lungful of good Cornish air!
