Yay, I'm sooo lucky

Well, at least I know now why I wasn't able to shake this cold.

I have a sinus infection. Also, both my ears are infected and my throat. Let's just say my entire sinus area has decided to kill me. But, the "good" news is that my lungs are clear.

I now have cough syrup with codine, which I'm hoping will let me sleep because I'm in sore need ( Read more... )

Ick...well sometimes it's comforting to know there actually is *something* wrong, and you aren't just imagining you have the plague! Get well soon, and tell those kitties to stop trying to suffocate you!!

Exactly. I was worried that I was convincing myself I was sick to get out of work, because it seemed like I'd have some energy on the days I didn't work, and bam, come work time, I'd be drained again.

You know, the ironically funny thing about sinus infections is that you and I, having allergies and other sinus lack-of-fun, always just think it's a cold and that we should be a trooper and ride it out rather than just going to the doctor.

And see, while I love my cats, the claws are not permitted on my flesh except accidentally after the time Melody caught a clawtip in one of my boobs.

My problem is that I forget that hot, brightly colored mucus is a sign of infection. So, stupidly I keep going, when most of the time, antibiotics would wipe it out.

As for the cats, most of the time, they don't use their claws on my person, at least Chrissy and Jesse don't. (Goten, alas, was too crazy when he was younger, then Todd encouraged his wilder side. In the case of Jesse, I have more control over his behavior) but I can't seem to make them understand that when I have a blanket over me, it's still me underneath it.

Obviously, they're just looking after your general well being. If you're not well, you don't need to be moving around. It's a feline form of aversion therapy to encourage you to Not Move Ever, so you'll get better much faster. *sage nod*

Hopefully before you need a transfusion. I sympathize with the sinus/allergy stuff. It's been a horrible year for that. Hope you feel better soon!

It rained today, which is just what I needed for the alergies. The sinus however, still need the antibiotics.

Being ill sucks. You have my sympathy.

When Puff was alive, she would sleep on top of me, and if I moved, she would sink her teeth into whatever part of my body was closest.

Yikes! Goten will bite, but only if you play rough or touch a "wrong" spot.

The problem though, is that Goten has about 10 "Wrong spots" and they move around from day to day.

Petting Goten sounds like it could be hazardous to your health.

At times? Yes. Especially if I do it while half asleep. If I'm awake, I can keep watch and know by his body language what is a "bad spot." But he loves to beg for pets while I'm half to 3/4 of the way asleep.
