Is there a possibility it was written creepy and disturbing on purpose? Not something for my tastes, but some people seem to enjoy writing stuff that has the audience go WTF.

Speaking of the caveman stories, it's kind of scary, but I often do understand the attraction even if it's something I can't possibly approve of and not really enjoy. I wonder if that means there is this darker, twisted side to a people which have more to do with some kind of caveman instincts than morality or ethics that the writers can take advantage of.

It would be interesting to read your comments. By the way, why are you reading the book, if you don't like the stories?

Maybe it was. It's a pity that the story is so short: maybe the author would've done more with that world if she would've had more pages for it. Anyway, I kind of liked the story because it wasn't a happily ever after. When you screw around with a mythological and inhuman creature, it should also have darker consequences, not just sparkly happiness and Eternal Love. *cough*Twilight*cough ( ... )
