[rec/review] Until Death Do Us Part

blueutopiah's Soul Eater post gave me an idea. Since I procrastinate read/watch anime/manga/books/TV/movies/etc. quite a lot, I thought that I could occasionally mention the shiny things I've found.

Let’s start with Until Death Do Us Part by Takashige Hiroshi, simply because I just read the newest chapter.

The art style alone is enough to make me curious, I like how it's semi-realistic, and the plot sounds original too. I still have yet to look into that other series you recommended(but I will) and then I'll check out this one!

I thought that you might like it since you draw yourself. :D

IMO, the artist is at his best when he's drawing movement. The still pictures tend to be rather generic but if the characters are moving, the panels can be really beautiful. Partly it's the angles: your average shonen mangaka mostly uses profiles and full-frontals (if that's the word I'm looking for), but Takashige likes to play with perspectives.

I totally have a crush on Mamoru. *cough* I'm always weak for the swordsmen with evil grins.

I am weak and you guys are terrible. Shall now divide my time between watching Soul Eater and reading this.

...As you can see, I'm busily translating text from Swedish to Finnish. Let me count the ways I hate Swedish...
