Oh, Bleach, at first it was all about the cast fighting hollows, but there was actually stuff about the characters. Then it was endless fights with other potentially interesting characters. Okay, I can take that. Now it's all about fighting some grotesque things masquerading as characters and it just wouldn't stop. Not so fun any more.

With Naruto I prefer not to pay attention to fandom theories and not take things at face value. It's saves me a lot of frustrations. I'm not going to believe Kakashi is dead before there's a funeral. Konohamaru vs Pain. no comment, really.

Interesting, I've been thinking about extending Fragile and in my personal little canon for it, Neji is the healer for team Gai. We know that Lee can't use anything but taijutsu and I doubt a girl who specialises on throwing things has the chakra control needed to become a healer. Hyuuga on the other hand needs precise chakra control and I'm sure having Byakugan would prove useful for a healer.

I wish we'd get some character development in Bleach. Like you said, in the beginning we did have it but lately it's been fighfightfight all the time. I liked the Pendulum arc because it was more about the characters than their next über-awesome attacks.

I admit that I first wanted Neji to be a healer just because I'm so tired of the girls always being healers. But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. If Tenten turns out to be the healer just because she's a girl, I'll be very disappointed.

I believe Bleach is a lost case in that regard. I usually love the flashbacks, no matter the series. They are usually rich in character development and actually have stories to tell.

Don't get me started on the female healers. I first thought of healer Neji, because I didn't want to see healer Hinata and now I'm rather fond of the idea. So is Kabuto secretly a girl? Or is braking gender types the reason he got a bit weird?

I wonder who's the healer in Team 8? On one hand, they have Hinata who would have the chakra control. On the other hand, there's Shino and his amazing bugs. Maybe it's a rare case where the team has two healers and they share the job.

I always thought it was pretty stupid to have only one person who's apparently capable of healing. What if s/he actually gets hurt? The whole team is screwed if the others can't help themselves/each other.

...it's sad that I wouldn't put it past Kishimoto to make the connection between a male healer and going insane. D:
