(no subject)
Whenever I say I'm going to come back later and write about something, I never get around to it. It's like a reverse self-fulfilling prophecy or something.
Anyway, last Friday was date night. We went to the Olive Garden, because I haven't had it in months. The first floor bartender was this ridiculously rude cunt, we went upstairs to wait, get a drink, and find a manager to complain to. While Michael was speaking with the manager, these two women asked me what happened and I started chatting with them. They were the most delightful mom and daughter from Louisiana, totally just the sweetest. We got seated first, and went to go sit down... here, they were seated right next to us! So we were chatting back and forth throughout our meals. They ended up coming to Marie's with with us and we had just the greatest night. I was excited because we sang some stuff from Fame at Marie's, and Aquarius from Hair. Fabulous night.
I got today off, unexpectedly. I guess the store is super slow. Bad for my paycheck. But good for me. I slept in, and have been doing this and that on the computer and around the house: adding photos to various profiles, sending Happy Thanksgiving messages, updating, putting things away, watching some tv, etc. It has been nice. I listened to salsa this morning and have since switched to Christmas music. I have some random decorations to put up and I want to work on the first batch of salt dough ornaments some more. I won't deny that I'm a little restless though! It's as if I don't know what to do with a whole day off sometimes! Which is not to say there aren't plenty of things to do... I'm just used to running, running, running.
Tonight, I'm going to go watch them inflate the balloons for the parade tomorrow! I didn't know you could do that and I'm super, little kid excited about it.
