Have you considered buying some whey protein powder? When I was strength training, I found it really convenient to throw in some skim milk, low-fat yogurt, protein powder, and a chopped up banana (or whatever fruit you want) into the blender and have it as a post-workout snack. It's a bit expensive for a case (anywhere between $40-%60) but you get alot and it's worth it in the long run, especially if protein bars are setting you back 2 bucks a pop. :) Congrats on the gym going! I'm having trouble getting motivated to go back again.

i love the protein snickers bars. sounds like a jip. but i ate them alot when i was exercising every day.
