Happy New Year!
Hope you had a good start into 2014. Mine was alright - a little boring but a thing or two amused me quite a bit in the end. Plus, the fireworks were also pretty nice again this time. Who would've thought?

I loveloveLOVE Skillet. I've liked them for a while now - but ever since I saw them live last year, I'm TOTALLY obsessed. One of the best concerts I've seen in my entire live.

New Year's was alright. A little boring at first, like I said above, but not too bad, either. For now I'm looking forward to what 2014 will have to offer. If another Skillet concert were on the horizon, I'd be ecstatic. *lol* I've really fallen badly for their music by now. I discovered "Those Nights" by accident about 1 1/2 yrs ago... and to this day that one makes me cry every single time. It always reminds me of a very good friend I miss dearly, I guess.

I was so beyond lucky anyway. I posted a song on FB and a friend of mine wondered whether that was the same band that was currently supporting Nickelback on their European tour. I had no idea. *sobs* I figured I'd set up an event alert on the German version of Ticketmaster - and almost screamed in joy when I realized they were playing in my hometown. The next day! How much luck can a girl have? O.O From what I heard they only played two headline shows in Europe this year - one in Munich and one in Cologne.

You should definitely bug your friend to come along to a show when the band's in your area. I still cannot believe HOW amazing they are live.
