Ginny used the portkey to take her to the shop. It had been too long since she'd last seen her brothers and she knew they weren't going to come to Hogwarts. They both had lives and they were both busy. She wasn't even sure either of them would have time for her now ( Read more... )

Oliver stepped out of the bathroom, a towel slung low around his waist. He'd come straight here from practice... and talked Fred into getting a bit dirty with him. He froze when he realized he wasn't alone.

"Oh. It's you. What are you doing here?" Well, that sounded completely horrible. He sighed and tried again. "Sorry. Hey. Fred will be out of the shower in a minute." She was fidgetting now and unless it was a trick of the light she was blushing quite profusely. At least it was amusing to see her that uncomfortable. He almost felt badly for her.

Almost.

"Problem there, Gin?" He grinned at her and winked. "You look a bit flushed. Your face looks a bit damp. Do you need a towel? You can borrow mine." He reached for the towel and tugged the corner loose with one hand, still grinning.

"NO!" she shrieked, covering her eyes with her hand and backing up. "God. Sorry, I didn't... I should have... I'll go. Just tell Fred I'll see him later and that yeah... sorry." She stumbled as she bumped against the end table, knocking it over and losing her balance as well.

Oliver grabbed her arm before he could topple to the ground, holding his towel up with the other. "Fuck, careful." He righted her and shook his head. "All right, there? You can't leave, cause Fred will go spare if he knows I ran you off. I've got a few errands to run anyway. Besides, there's no used denying your attraction to me." He grinned wider, completely thrilled that he'd caused such a reaction. Of course some of it was the fact that she knew just what he and Fred had been doing before she walked in, but still. It was fun to watch her squirm.

Ginny narrowed her eyes and levitated a pillow from the couch, sailing it across the room to smack him in his head. She was embarrassed and irritated, but she had enough presence of mind not to hit him on the side that he'd been burned. "Prat," she grumbled. "You wish. I really should go. I can come back after you leave, or Fred can come to me. I don't want to intrude."

"Guess it was his turn - his and Charlie's. I scared them. Wish we hadn't scared you though." Fred moved, settling her against his shoulder. "So tell me how you've been. How's Harry? How are the rest of the gang? Anyone I need to beat up for you?"

"It's all right. And Harry's fine. I'm glad his cousin was all right. I was surprised at how... I mean, I wasn't happy but he just froze. It scared me. He's much better now. And Hermione is getting out of the infirmary today and Neville is good. I spent yesterday afternoon with him. Katie came by the school the other day too." She sighed as she melted against him. "No one you need to beat up. I'm handling things all right. It's nice not to be a complete fuck up for a change. I hope it lasts."

"So do I," Oliver said, walking back into the room. He'd put on a pair of jeans and one of Fred's teeshirts. He grinned at her as she stuck her tongue out at him. "I'm just teasing. You are far too easy to wind up, you know?"

"I am not," she said, "easy to wind up. You are just entirely annoying." He snuggled against Fred. "On second thought, beat him up. Maybe he'll be nice then," she teased.

Ginny groaned again and curled into Fred. "You enjoy embarrassing me, don't you?" She peaked up at Oliver and his grin was enough to tell her she was right. "Prat. Just for that I'm never wearing a tight shirt around you again." She hugged Fred. "And stop slobbering on him. I could catch cooties."

Fred smiled. It was rather nice to be caught between two people you love, even if you loved them in very different ways. "I'll save you both from cooties."

"My hero," Oliver growled, sliding his tongue along Fred's bottom lip. "I'm not worried though, I'm immune."

"Yeah, I hear stupidity produces antibodies to cooties. You're all set." She giggled and it turned into a shriek when Oliver reached for her thigh, squeezing just above her knee. "Fuck! Stop! Fred, get him off me or I'm going to... prat!!" She kicked at him but he grabbed at her ankle and jerked.

"It was a pink unicorn with bells on it," Ginny said, giggling. "That you wanted it at all was very telling." She rolled over onto him and kissed his cheek. "And it was mine. He was terrible to me, Oliver. Really. You wouldn't have believed the abuse I endured. And I know about the skirt, Fred told me. Said he looked fantastic."

"He did. Your skirt's ruined though. Think you could let us borrow another. It's my turn next time." He rolled back to miss the punch she aimed at him. "I have no doubt you were abused. I also have no doubt that you were a nuisance and likely deserved it." He grinned at her and leaned over the sofa edge to kiss Fred.

"No, no, Pirate. I want you to dress up like a pirate. Then I can play with your sword." Fred was laughing, moving to wave his fingers in Ginny's direction. "Are you saying I might be gay? I'll have you know I was equal opportunity until I was snagged. And it didn't start out pink! It was white - and it was a boy. Fierce and wild and you talked Bill into changing the color. Don't think I didn't know."

She grinned. "I always was cuter than you. He never said no to me. Charlie did, and we see that hasn't changed." She grabbed his fingers. "I can't see him as a pirate." She looked at Oliver critically. "No... maybe a vampire. I don't think he could pull of the pirate thing. Way too clean cut looking." She looked at Fred. "You could pull it off though."
