Draco arrived to Theo's home, knowing that his lover was back in school. He went straight to the library and found parchment and a quill. He needed to write to Harry, but that could wait for later. First, he penned his message to Theo.

Hi,

Don't worry, nothing is wrong, but I'd like to speak to you. I'm at your house. He decided to keep it ( Read more... )

Theo had taken Draco's favorite seat, center stage in the Common Room. It was, perhaps, a bit telling, but he'd not seen his lover in over a week. He did not consciously admit this even to himself, of course. No one questioned his right to sit anywhere he liked.

The owl came as a surprise. Draco had apparently used a spelled quill because the handwriting was not his. However, only one person besides his mother had access to his home. Theo used the parchment to mark the place in his book and stood.

"I generally don't respond well to being summoned. Fortunately, I'm terribly fond of you." Theo leaned against the doorway of the library and gazed at Draco.

"You weren't being summoned. You were free to stay where you were. Of course, the other owl I wrote was address to Potter," Draco said sweetly. "Should I see if he wished to join me?"

Draco patted the couch. "Join me, please. I needed to speak to you, not that you can really help, but usually blabbing to you helps." He looked over at Theo. "There'll be another attack in Harry's birthday."

"You are free to invite anyone you like to share your presence. However, inviting the boy hero here when I'm not might be bad for his health. Shall I add the Savior to my wards. You'd have to fetch him."

Theo placed a kiss on Draco's head and then threw himself down on the sofa. "Babble away, Dragon."

"He's not coming here," Draco said, all traces of his amusement gone. "I trust him, but not enough to put you in danger. He'll protect me because he thinks it's right, but he'll turn his back on anyone for his precious ideologies."

He turned toward Theo, knees folded under him. "There will be an attack on Muggles for Potter's birthday, but I have no idea where, and I need to find out. MacNair will lead it, and I'm not sure I can get the information from him."

"I did want the Slytherins and Gryffindors to get along. I didn't know it would work so splendidly," he said with a smile. "Who would have thought that Granger would seek a Slytherin out? She must really like you." Maybe he'd forget to mention her to Potter. If he were lucky, MacNair would get rid of her family for him. He might not like violence, but he was not above using others to get what he wanted. "Remind me to demolish that car if I see it."

"Could be that she likes me. Or perhaps her best friend is too busy meeting my lover to remember she exists. Hard to say." Draco was about as likely to go wandering in the Forbidden Forest as he was to take up tap dancing and they both knew it. It was unnecessary to point this out, however. "I'll remind you." Theo didn't want to argue. He wanted to hold Draco and make him promise not to do anything stupid. That would not be fitting with the nature of their upbringing, unfortunately.

"Oh yes, it must be. Harry and I seem to always end up on the floor, all sweaty and dirty, panting for breath. Merlin, I love teaching occlumency, maybe you should teach her. The Mudblood would love to get down and dirty with someone who is obviously above her," Draco said with feigned calm. Killing her family wasn't enough, maybe he should make sure that she'd be there when MacNair arrived. "Besides, wasn't she spreading her legs for the Weasel? Perhaps, you might suggest leaving you and Harry alone."

"And are you more concerned that she stay away from darling Harry or from myself? I didn't broach the subject of whom she was spreading her legs for. I didn't mention her legs. I did, however, show her my forearms in such a manner that she thought it was an accident and that I was unaware. I had thought, silly me, that speaking with her might allow you to pass information in a manner that provided less risk to your aristocratic neck. Would you like me to ask for her address instead? Or perhaps you wish me to use my other talents? The ones that allow me to fully enjoy the full range of animals in my stables?"

Theodore snapped his fingers. He positively hissed at the elf that appeared, not bothering to thank him for the drink. Instead he directed the elf to Draco with a minute hand gesture.

The kiss was far more enjoyable than the conversation. "I highly doubt anyone could make your aunt look innocent." Theo would never admit out loud that he was still intrigued by his short meeting with Bella. One could admire a poisonous creature and still know not to touch it. "I am willing to take my chances. The idea would be for him to not notice me at all. Then the most I'd be risking is food poisoning from a glass that hasn't been washed since Circe was an infant." He knew that was untrue, and so did Draco, but there was no reason to dwell on risks.

"We'll see. I'll speak to Severus, see if he knows where MacNair hangs out when he's not at mansion. Then we decided." Draco nipped at Theo's lips, happy to stay like this for a while longer. "Do you want to tell me about Granger? I promise to listen to the important stuff and pretend that I don't want to stab her eyes out."

"There was nothing overly important to tell. She seems to need someone to talk to and listening is one thing I do well. I'm Slytherin enough to see a good opportunity. I casually pushed my sleeves up while talking about, Elvis I believe. She is not subtle. She practically fell off the bench trying to get a good look." Theo shifted, stretching his legs out and settling Draco closer. "So, I shouldn't mention that Ms. Weasley kissed me?" It wasn't the kindest thing to say, but Theo was as Slytherin.

"She what?" His promise to listen went out the window before he could even think about it. "First a Mudblood and now a Weasley. What is wrong with you? And don't tell me you're a good listener. Weasleys don't come up to Slytherins and kiss them. It does not happen. Weasleys look at us and think that we should die a painful death. What in Merlin's name happened, and.... fuck, do you know she really is spreading her legs for Potter? Don't tell me this is your way to balance things?"

Theo contemplated pointing out that only weeks ago Draco had been extolling the virtues of the house. Instead he put both hands on Draco's arse. "That," whispered against kiss-bruised lips, "is an excellent compromise."

"Never be said that I can't be reasonable." Although they both knew that he was less than reasonable most of the times.

When they arrived to the bathroom, he disrobed Theo. He didn't waste any time, after the evening they had, he doubted either one was intersted in teasing. He turned on the water, testing it until it felt just perfect. "Join me."

"Gladly, and in every way possible." Theo stepped into the shower and molded himself to Draco. "So, I could push you against this wall, but it might be a bit cold." Theo spun Draco around and just stood for a moment, looking at the water dripping from his hair, crystal drops sparkling on his eyelashes. He closed his own eyes and kissed him.

He wouldn't have minded the cold, but he didn't mind this either. Draco took a step forward until their toes were touching. The water fell between them, warming his skin, but it wasn't as hot as the kiss. He rocked his hips, pushing his crotch against Theo. It started as a gentle movement, becoming faster in the quest for more friction, for more contact. For more.
