No, because I was still within the 3 months that employers get the right to fire you at their every whim. You need to work for 3 months for a company before you get working rights, here, it seems...

I've taken antibiotics for the past 8 days, tried to get as much sleep and warmth as I could, drank water and orange juice, so I feel better, but not completely recovered yet. I still have two more doses, but I'm seriously thinking getting it extended because I still feel a kind of ball of pain in my chest, but it's much fainter than it was last week. Thank you for concerning yourself with my well-being from "across the pond", Heather!
