I was gonna update this with much happier stuff, but for the past week I've just been so enraged with LJ's asshattery that I've had it to here.

In case you didn't know, on 12/12 they first announced sneakily on the Russian journal of LJ's design guy that with new changes ( Read more... )

Ho shit! Yeah, from the time that I went to a patient's room to take care of their account and returning to my desk, everything is different. What the...?

Guh. I really like this spot. I don't want to switch, BUT! Hell, where's my raging Anthy icon?

It seems this change is only affecting non-paid accounts. Fucking cocksuckers.

As usual with LJ, even their fuck ups are inconsistent. I have a LJ friend whose 'plus account' still has subject lines. *shrug*

I think I like the new icon choice, but I'm not paying extra or waiting to load the pics.

The subject line will be mourned.

There are a bunch of LJ 'clones' that people have escaped to every time LJ screws up. I have invite codes for one called http://www.deadjournal.com/ if anyone is interested.

Icon choice did not take. So all the pictures loaded, but the one I wanted didn't post.

Yeah, I'm getting that, too.

I see this as a blatant attempt to make more freeloaders pay because I have a paid account and I have actually gained a feature. The ability to see my icons before I select them for use rather than remembering my faulty abbreviations for them. I'm expecting them to go pay only or a variation of it after about a year of this.

LJ has been notorious for years for not caring in the least what the English speaking customers want. They bought LJ for them, not us. They ought to bundle the English speaking customers into a separate company and sell us. They'd be happier, and we'd be happier. I often think they are waiting for us to go away and trying for it.

In this particular page style I cannot locate the spell checker and my spelling is lousy. Please forgive me. With other friends I can still locate the spell checker.

It is clean and graceful, however. Its very tidy.

Goddamnit I thought my fonts changed.

Well, congratulations Livejournal, you seem to have not learned from Facebook's constant muddling of actual features with "features".

Here I come, Dreamwidth. =/ I am sad to leave this blog, though.

I prefer this font [Ariel]. The rest not so much.

I have Dreamwidth. I'd like to STAY using Dreamwidth, but I'd be afraid to crack ANY sort of even MILDLY off-color joke or comment(i.e. ANYTHING about "LJ's Soviet overlords") without having someone whining about it.

I'd like to be able to say what I'd like within reason, and not walk on eggshells constantly.
