One of the most moving songs to come out of the impact WWI had on the Australian collective psyche.

That's on of the saddest songs I've ever heard.

"But year after year their numbers get fewer
Some day no one will march there at all"

If only that was true - more wars, and more soldiers. When I was young, the vets were my grandfather's generation, now some of them are my age and younger. Too many of the Remembrance Day events focus on the young men as heros and seem to glorify war. Thank you for sharing this.
