you think with the humid summers, the winters would be less dry. a lot of my friends from the east coast thing winters in ann arbor are worse than back home because the dry cold is way harsh.

Huh. I'd never thought of Michigan summers as humid. But then, I haven't actually ever had much experience to compare. Most of my summers have been spent in Taiwan, and after that Japan, both of which make Michigan summers feel like a desert.
