I think it's absolutely crazy how the infrastructure of this country is set up to just suck up energy. We're 5% of the world's population, we use 25% of the world's energy. It's fucking stupid. And we're not doing anything because now the issue is the national debt and cutting spending as opposed to taking that money and maybe doing something useful with it! This place makes me so damn angry sometimes. Often.
I love Madison, I do a fair amount of walking here, a friend's giving me his old bike, and this is a small compact enough city that I could realistically bike myself around without much of an issue. Jason sadly has to drive 40 miles to Janesville which is kinda getting painful but we're still spending less filling up the tank of the Cobalt than we were filling up the Ranger.
