See the thing is that corporate rule has been a fact of life since at the most charitable the late 1940s. These days there are some corporations with more geopolitical pull than entire countries. Things like Olbermann's firing and Huckabee's and Palin's hiring just reflect the way things are.

The devil of it is that there's no adequate means to smash the corporate bureaucracies given that the only viable means to do so entirely bereft of any and all corporate influence requires a lifestyle of at least the Gravettian sort, if not the Mousterian.

At least until the corporations bugger things up permanently, at which point most of the entire human race is buggered with them.
