I think the Pre-Christian Romans had a much more fun festival than the later Christian Romans did. I'd support bringing back Saturnalia, heh.

I saw part of a documentary where a woman was studying cave drawings and... if I remember correctly (was half asleep)... was testing her hypothesis that they were drawn as a way or measuring or celebrating each equinox/solstice. She surmised that the people way back then probably noticed how the sun rose and set in different places over the mountain range as the year passed. Pretty neat.
