No specific pointers, but you could look on potc_icons and potcicons--they seem fairly busy and should have lots of icons. If someone hasn't made one already, both comms allow requests.

Looks like Excel Saga isn't popular enough to have its own icon community. [sad] However, there are lots and lots of request comms--sticking 'icon requests' into a LJ interest search gets 200+. You might try sorting through those and seeing if you can find an anime-themed one. If my iconning skills were better, I'd offer to make you one myself!

There are some PotC/Johnny Depp communities with lots of icons, apirateslife4me, arrrrr, for instance, and I found lots of bases here. I don't see any with that particular quote, but you can always politely ask someone in the community, either in the comments of an icon post, or by joining and making a post, if they've seen any like the one you want; or (this is effective in the comments of a post liked the linked one) you can make a request for one. (If you like any of the bases, you could say, "I love 23, I suck at photoshop, could anyone customize it to say...?")

Excel Saga has only 3 tiny communities, but if you don't want text, give me 30 minutes.

Or you could just rotate, like I do. Granted, I have 36 icons, but I still constanly shift new ones in and old ones out. (Like this Rose, from the new Doctor Who. I just got it and I really like it.)

If you have pictures, Lynn at _freeicons can crop them, add any kind of text, and make it just like you want it, animated or not. All you have to do is join and post the pics you want!
