Whooping cough warning for adults

Unlike most of the other immunisations, the whooping cough jab does not protect you forever (even getting whooping cough itself does not provide lasting protection). For the last 50 years or so, adults have been relying *entirely* on herd immunity for protection - and that was fine when pretty much everyone was getting their kids vaccinated. But the anti-vaxxers have been breaking that model, and whooping cough has seen a resurgence in the last few years leaving adults whose immunity has waned (ie, most of us) vulnerable, along with those kids who haven't been immunised.
