Where was this filmed?
Griffiths Park observatory was the basis for the outside structure. This also includes the fire trails near the observatory which were used when filming the hearses.
Stevens theme park was basically Universal Orlando theme park. Whilst they did have a 15 foot model for the distant shot of the ’20 storied’ elevator and another for the rollercoaster’s rogue cart, the rollercoaster ride itself was the incredible hulk ride. The inner elevator set was however filmed in a studio where the majority of the basement was set.
The basement and much of the upper floors were filmed was set in a studio in Valencia, California, across the freeway from Magic Mountain. They used two sets mainly but occasionally used a third. One of the delete scenes were filmed in a field near the studio, but was unfortunately cut. Another was filmed near the observatory.Do you ( ... )
