*snerks at self* i was rather surprised, myself! XD i was definitely hoping for Sulu(grew up watching the show(reruns, of course), and he made swordplay look so graceful(not to mention, RAWR!), so as soon as i was old enough, i took fencing lessons ^.^ )

I love it when someone makes swordplay look like that. It's reminds me a bit of dancing every time.

It wasabsolutely as much fun as you'd expect it to be, too! ;) also, painful--when 1 opponent lunged, i learned first-hand how detrimental that one weak spot in the chest padding is--had a baseball-sized bruise there for weeks(no puncture, thanks to the tip guard, but still hurt like hell). All in all, it was a total blast, and i'd recommend it to anyone. ^.^
i know what you mean! The fluidity is what drew me, i think--and it even feels like dancing, esp when you get an equally-matched opponent :D
Ooooh, Uhura was wonderful, all throughout the series--she just got better with time! Picard wasnt really a fave of mine, tho i would KILL to get to see Stewart perform live in Hamlet, or maybe even Macbeth. :DD Spock was my overall fave, i could never deny the hotness of those ears, or that sexy eyebrow arch--guh! XD
