On hands and knees, helm grazing the concrete as he shook, Ratchet grieved. The hypersonic scream escaping his vocaliser, and shattering glass and crystal for several city blocks, plainly evinced the medic's Spark-deep agony. He and Ironhide had been waiting for the War's end, when they might've Bonded without distraction and risk. It was only now, when it was too late, that Ratchet realised their foolishness, how utterly in vain their hope was. They had waited for nothing.
