Actually, I had cake achieved for me. muphinmadness is apparently psychically linked to all things Birthday, and didn't miss the fact that my day was spent cakeless. So she erupted into my room this morning and announced we were going cake-hunting

Dude, such a thing most certainly does exist. She lives in there with your inner demon toddler, your inner fluffy bunny, your inner grumpy old man, and a bunch of your other inners, only my outer lazy slacker is controlling my hands at the moment so I'm not listing them. But trust me, she's there. She's the one who whispers in your ear when you admire yourself in your man-cut jeans, broad-shouldered leather jacket and film-noirish fedora, "Ohh, Dark, you are a seriously handsome devil."
