Thoughts on Maul
Jen bringing Anakin to Island has really put me on a Star Wars binge lately. I've been tagging with Maul more in the last month than I probably have in the last year. It occurred to me that most people probably only know him from the movie, where he only has a few (very awesome) minutes of screen time, and two or three lines of dialog.

Argh I really hate Darth Sidious (though I guess that's the point of his character). It's interesting that you bring that up, though, since he seems to make a habit of just discarding his apprentices when a potential "stronger" one appears. He basically did the same with Vader when he told Luke to kill him at the end of Episode VI. But that totally went not as planned for him. :3
That being said, I've always loved the parallels that can be drawn between the various movies. And that particular one always seems to be showing up. XD Along with hands constantly being chopped off. =A=
And Maul, I know you really like being a Sith, but god your training for it was very OTL.

You're so right about the parallels. Sidious is always trying to "trade up" on his apprentices.
