Unintended consquences of social networks

How can something be fun or a time sink if I can not speak a word of opinion or truth on it.

I have a Linked In account for professional networking and a typepad blog for professional blogging.

There is nothing I want to say I would put on Facebook.

Vicki, whatever gave you the idea that you couldn't speak "a word of opinion or truth on [FB]"? Of course you can. You have multiple options for privacy settings, being seen or unseen, friending people, controlling how others see anything about you, and so on.
