Brava, my darling. A brilliant piece of work. When I saw this was posted (I only just got to it today since I was traveling) I went back and re-read the first three chapters first. Gah, so many great moments. If only every slavefic was this good.

This was rec'd by someone on my flist. I love it. You've made the pairing believable for me, which is a huge deal- I have a lot of trouble with many pairings! This is believable, as I can see Ron as very power-hungry. Excellent, thanks!

Glad you liked it! I seem to have an affinity for pairings that aren't just rare--they're downright cracktastic. I also like the Malfoy/Weasley dynamic for both the parallels and the differences, and playing with the expectations (Lucius, as the older and wealthier, being the one on the bottom). I enjoyed writing it, and I'm thrilled that people enjoyed reading it.

That was great fun, and apologies for taking so long to read it! A really enjoyable (and refreshing) take on the slavefic cliche, and I loved how you turned it on its ear throughout the story. A really lovely portrayal of Ron, too, who could probably not manage to be wilfully cruel for long. I love the gruff affection he develops for Lucius.

I grumbled a little at the ending, both because it felt a bit sudden and the manipulation of Ron by Lucius is explained a bit too explicit for my taste - but then that's subjective, and I'm usually guilty of keeping motivation overly cryptic :).

But the actual twist is superb, with all the right hints throughout. Lucius' oh-so docile behaviour at the beginning which just screams 'underhanded motive!', the way he's hitting on all the right Gryffindor/Weasley buzz-words like gratitude, decency and family affection, and getting under Ron's skin in this almost un-noticeable way... Lovely! And many thanks for posting it to ronlucius!
