Mm, I'm so glad I got my ass outta there. ^^ I've actually developed a distaste for fandom in general, so I no longer partake in any. BNFs make me queasy. I watch the shows/movies, read the books, make icons, but I don't read fics. I don't read wank, or reviews, or theories. I prefer to stick with my own perceptions, and my own fiction.

God knows how people last in there for years. I mean I know they have fun and meet lots of great people, but...it just ends up ruining the experience of the show/movie/book for me. -_-

Wow, I miss whole swathes of HP fandom bad behavior by living off in my own little corner. I just don't get the plagarism thing at all. I hear about it peripherally from time to time, but woah.

And I'm mostly getting my HP fandom stuff from looking sporadically at your corner and darkrosetiger. Still, it's amazing how much wankitude people can achieve in short times.

I got bored with Cassie Clare's fic a long time ago, it was boring and inconsistent. Well, now I know why, at least the consistency problem.

And the good stuff, yours and mirasfics and pira8fancier, I have no doubt who wrote it. Honestly, it won't make a difference when I read HP fic, more sad for HP fandom than anything.

I didn't even realize that CC had written anything except the Very Secret Diaries (which were funny at first, but got to the level of dead horse beating very quickly) until the plagarism kernuffle hit the fan. But eh, I was always on the edge of HP fandom, anyway. That row over Blaise Zabini made me glad, and that Harmonian crap made me gladder.

I am really deeply disturbed by the RL roles of the people who did this, though. WTF makes it so important to be internets popular that you'd completely blow off your canon of ethics and the law so you could be?
