Dude. As if this over-populated world needs more procreation. As if millions of kids needing to be adopted wouldn't thrive with same-sex parents whose rights are protected by the safeguards of legal marriage.

Oh, but it's not the overall level of procreation they're worried about. You know there's not enough white babies being born.

Or maybe what they're really worried about is the women's souls. Women are saved through childbearing. Nevermind that that is found in one of the Paulines that's generally agreed to be a forgery. :P

They're not even trying to sound like they have a real argument. What kind of "because I said so" BS is this?

Gah. I don't know why I'm surprised. According to the Supreme Court, you're white if a "reasonable man" can tell that you're white.

um... no, the legislature is not "entitled to believe" or to legislate in support of anything that's a.) observably false and b.) denies equal rights and protections to American citizens.

I'm still waiting for the law to ban marriages of post-menopausal women and people who are infertile, and banning elective sterilization and birth control for married couples.

well, conservative Republicans are well on their way to doing the latter, at least.

*blink* How can they even justify that as logical? Last I checked, humans weren't on the verge of extintion.
